A fictionalized documentary biographical film about Captain Witold Pilecki, who during World War II voluntarily agreed to be captured and taken to Auschwitz to organize a resistance movement there. The film shows the life path of Captain Piletsky from his early youth, his activities in the Home Army until his imprisonment by the communist authorities after the war and his death sentence in a show trial.
