TV commentator Phil Connors comes to a small town in Pennsylvania every year to celebrate Groundhog Day. But this time the hilarity risks going too far. Time played an evil joke on him: he took it and stopped. Now on Phil's calendar, the same date - February 2nd - is blackened, from which he cannot get out. The carefree presenter tries to benefit from his comic position: ahead of him is the mighty force of time and a carefree predicted future. From now on, nothing bad will happen to him... and nothing good. Phil has one cherished dream left, simple and uncomplicated - February 3.
