Uman and Bratslav are Ukrainian cities where Rebbe Nachman lived and worked, who became a spiritual leader (tzadik) for the Bratslav Hasids. He was born four years after the Uman massacre. During the peasant-Cossack uprising led by Ivan Honta and Maksym Zalizniak, now recognized as Ukrainian national heroes, in 1768 more than 20,000 Jews and Poles were killed. In the underground passages, in the abandoned synagogue, in the cemetery, in the air of these cities, many souls of the dead wander. Dybuk is a restless soul trying to free itself from the burden of earthly existence. If the dybbuks could talk, what would they say?
