"Leaving him a female name, his father disappeared from his life. Through mockery and bullying, Maryana developed the principle of not allowing anyone to offend him. However, this creed exposed him to mortal danger..." It is interesting that the performer of the main role - Denys Yefimenko, is not a professional actor. Denys is an amateur actor, sales manager and aikido expert who staged all the fights in the film. Musical accompaniment was provided by Lviv performers "Blyuzophrenia", "Shafy Shaman", "Marisen", "Pan Pupets" and "Dwisty Boys". The main character of the tape is called Maryana. Everything would be nothing, but Maryana is a man. This is where the problems begin. The hero fights against those who insult and mock his name. Because of this, he gets into trouble by offending a drug lord. After that, Maryana has to fight for her life... The film ends with a happy ending, but rather unexpected. The humor of the tape deserves special attention. In addition to the fact that the heroes joke "in Lviv", their jokes are unexpected. For example, one of the characters fights over a coat bought at "Pivdenno"... After the broadcast of the film, a creative meeting was held with the people involved in its creation. Mykola Bereza, Yurii Khostenko, Oleg Tsyona, Denis Yefimenko and, of course, Ivan Fedorych talked with the audience. Bands whose songs were included in the tape also presented their work: "Marisen", Mykola Shpakovsky ("Shaman's Closet"), "Blyuzophrenia". The film "Maryana" is a really interesting modern comedy. The tape became a real reproach to all those who claim that the Ukrainian film industry is in decline due to a lack of funding. The non-standard plot, colorful musical accompaniment and excellent acting left many budget films of foreign production far behind. assistant director: Taras Sainiuk cinematographers: Vitaly Nikolyshyn, Yevhen Kokolskyi, Ivan Fedorych sound engineers: Bohdan Stefura, Andriy Soroka
