"Ivy" arrives in Egypt and it turns out that the owner has not paid the port dues, and the ship will be confiscated. The port authority puts the ship at anchor. A crew of six remains on board in case the ship needs to be moved: an engineer, an officer, two sailors, a cook and a captain. Their passports have been confiscated, and the crew remains on the Egyptian coast for an indefinite period of time. Small skirmishes turn into big fights as food and water supplies dwindle and the ship turns into a battlefield where man hunts man.
