The footage of the newsreel of cinematographer Kalenik Lysyuk, Czechoslovak military chronicles, as well as materials of the British journalist Michael Winch and the correspondent of the American newspaper New York Times Ann McCormick, who worked in Carpathian Ukraine at that time as international observers, were used to create the film. Such details make the film colorful and acquaint the modern viewer with the cultural features of the area and people who lived in 1919-1939. Even specially filmed artistic scenes used in the film are recreated based on historical facts. The tape is a new attempt to realize the historical role of Transcarpathia for Ukraine and Central-Eastern Europe. This is an epic story about the history of the development and formation of this picturesque corner of Ukraine.
