The island of the former British colony of New Providence is a lawless territory controlled by the most famous pirate captains in history. The most formidable of them is Captain Flint. But the British fleet returns to these waters, threatening to destroy Flint and his crew. Filled with deep, complex, even romantic motives, Flint befriends Eleanor Guthrie, the daughter of a local thief in law who turns pirate booty into a profit. Together, they create a plan, hunting for the ultimate reward, which, if won, will stop the takeover of their home and ensure their survival.
