My Son is a social drama by the Dutch director Remy van Hoyten. The film is about the love between a father and a son trying to survive in the modern poor province of Limburg, which offers no escape either for the characters, in their unequal struggle against social conditions, or for the audience. Leia's fifty-year miserable existence is accompanied by his greatest fear - losing the respect of his son Geoffrey.
