Read more The horror film "Don't Turn Off the Light" is based on the short film of the same name by David Sandberg. For the Swedish director, the picture was his debut in big cinema. He has more than a dozen short films to his credit, in most cases he also acted as a cameraman, screenwriter, editor, producer and composer of his works. Teresa Palmer ("On the Crest of the Wave"), Billy Burke ("Twilight"), Gabriel Bateman ("Annabel"), Maria Bello ("Prisoners"), Alexander DiPersia and others took part in the filming of the film. One of the film's producers was James Wan, the director of such films as "Astral", "The Spell", "Fast and Furious 7", etc. Even before the release of "Don't turn off the light" on the screens, David Sandberg was entrusted with the next big project - the sequel to the horror film "Annabel 2". During the shooting of his first full-length work, the director tried to use real effects as much as possible, avoiding computer graphics where possible. In addition, he avoided additional lighting, sometimes settling for candles or fluorescent lamps in the frame. Filming started in June 2015 and lasted until August. The premiere of the horror film "Don't Turn Off the Light" took place at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June 2016. The picture received positive reviews from critics.
