Read more In June 2013, it became known that Tom Tykwer is working on the script for the adaptation of the novel "Hologram for the King" by Dave Eggers. He himself took up the filming of the picture and played the role of one of the composers, as in his previous projects. The main role in the film was played by Tom Hanks ("Forrest Gump", "The Green Mile"), and in March 2014 Sarita Chowdhury ("Secretary of State", "Pretty Wife"), Tracy Fairaway, David Mankin, Tom Skerritt and others joined the cast. Previously, Dave Eggers also wrote the melodrama "On the Road" by Sam Mendes, the children's film "Where the Monsters Live" by Spike Jones and "The Promised Land" by Gus Van Sant. Tom Hanks has already worked with the director of "Holograms for the King" Tom Tykwer in the fantasy film "Cloud Atlas", in which the Wachowski sisters took part. Tikver has various tapes on his account: the crime drama "Run, Lola, Run", the thriller "Paradise" with Cate Blanchett, "Perfumer" and the TV series "The Eighth Sense", also a Wachowski project. Filming of the film "Hologram for the King" began in March 2014 in Morocco and continued until June 2014. Egypt and Germany also became venues.
