A seemingly ordinary wooden mask, which Stanley Ipkis fished from the water of the city river, gives this simple, unsuccessful bank employee, who is trampled by everyone and everything, extraordinary powers. After wearing it, he turns into a comic hero who completely ignores the laws of physics and nature. In a moment, he charms the young blonde Tina and destroys the plans of her lover - a city criminal authority.
