Cult: The action of the season takes place in the suburbs of modern Detroit. Starring Sarah Paulson, who plays a New Yorker suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder caused by the dramatic events of 9/11. She developed as many as three phobias: trypophobia - anxiety that occurs at the sight of objects with holes or bulges; coulrophobia - fear of clowns, and hemophobia - fear of blood. Over time, she learned to deal with her fears thanks to her wife (Alison Pill). But Donald Trump's election victory renewed her fears. When Sarah's character is threatened by a group of sinister clowns inspired by the ideas of A Half Orange, her wife thinks she's going psycho.
