In Mexico, the word "sicario" means "hired killer". Between the United States and Mexico there is a border zone where the laws lose their force. Kate Macy is an FBI agent who has her own idealistic code. She takes a job with an elite government official to help in the fight against drug trafficking. The team, led by a mysterious consultant with a dubious past, goes on an underground journey. Kate Macy discovers a terrible side on the other side of the border, where violence and debauchery reign.
