Манхэттенский фестиваль короткометражных фильмов - 2015
The world's largest interactive Manhattan Short Film Festival annually collects applications from filmmakers around the world and in September presents another selection of 10 finalists. The winners are determined by a large international audience during one week. According to tradition, the Manhattan International Film Festival of Short Films is presented in Ukraine by Arthouse Trafik. In 2015, for the 9th time, Ukrainians will be able to participate in the selection of the best short film of the year. This fall, the annual Manhattan Film Festival will be held in 300 cities and gather more than 100,000 connoisseurs of short films. Every viewer will be able to become a member of the international jury and participate in the selection of the best short film of the year. In 2015, the festival considered 678 applications from 52 countries. The ten finalists included two films each from Germany and France, films from the USA, Turkey, Chile, as well as co-productions from Switzerland and Germany, Finland and Denmark, Kosovo and Great Britain. Among this year's finalists is the sequel to the 2014 Manhattan Film Festival winner "Full-on Rhino!", "It's Over," about a couple who make a to-do list while dreaming of adding thrills to their lives. "Dad in Mom" - a comedy British sketch about two interesting girls who found their parents in an ambiguous situation - a festival hit, shown at 100 international film forums and winning 30 awards. The touching story about the affections of two pensioners will be told by the German film "See You!". Children's friendship will be tested by war in the drama film "Shock" co-produced by Great Britain and Kosovo. Animation in the competition program is represented by two films - the Chilean "Bear Story" on behalf of a former toy bear, and "Klaptyk", which raises global issues with the help of tiles on the wall. In addition, the films "The Lonely Way" (USA), "Listen" (Denmark, Finland), "The West" (Turkey) and "From Heaven to Earth" (France) will be shown at the festival.
