One of the worst storms in the history of the East Coast of the United States hit New England in February 1952. The element destroyed everything in its path, destroying coastal cities and questioning the lives of two oil tanker crews. The SS Pendleton and the SS Fort Mercer followed to Boston and Portland, when one of them was literally broken in half by the pressure of the water. People were trapped on a sinking ship. The rescue mission shown in the tape is one of the most impressive in US naval history. Initially, the director was to be Robert Schwentke, who directed "The Illusion of Flight", "RED" with Bruce Willis, "Ghost Patrol" and others. But he left the project for Divergent Chapter 2.
