Maura Ellis and her sister Kate live an independent life. Maura's parents tell Maura that they are going to sell their old house and ask Kate to tell her because she doesn't take bad news well. All that mother and father need is for the girls to come and clean their room. The sisters meet at the airport and, upon arriving home, learn that the house has already been sold and all the family's belongings have been collected except for their own.
