The action of the film takes place during the Great Patriotic War. The main characters - lieutenant Ogarkov and private Jurabaev - are young people from different union republics, different in character and life positions, but united by a common goal. The basis of the film is their complex relationship and actions, dictated by the background of the terrible events of the war. This is a story about human relationships, true moral values, duty to the Motherland, loved ones and oneself.
