Luc Besson is financing, distributing, producing and writing the scripts for all three installments. In March 2015, the original title of The Transporter Legacy was changed to The Transporter: Refueled. Filming began on August 1, 2014 in Paris. Luc Besson wanted to update the very concept of the trilogy, focus on the past of the main character, based on the relationship with his father, and trace the beginning of his career. After Jason Statham refused to participate in the filming, English actor Ed Skrein was cast as Frank Martin. This will be the first film in the franchise without Statham. Skrein left the Game of Thrones project to star in Transporter: Legacy. For the director of the film, Camille Delamarre, this will be the fourth film, after "Le hors-champ", "The Last Chance" and "The 13th District: Brick Mansions" with Paul Walker. He has many more works as an editor. He collaborated with Luc Besson in "Transporter 3", "22 Bullets: Immortal", "Colombiana" and "Hostage 2".
