David Yates and Ron Howard, known for his films based on real events, were among the options to direct The Imitation Game. The fact that the Norwegian, the author of "Bounty Hunters" will be involved in the production, was announced by the mass media in December 2012. Filming began in September 2013 and lasted until November of the same year. The work was carried out on the territory of England.
