We have seen movie almanacs full of love for each other and for cities, pure and tender. But this is not always the case, as this dramatic thriller tells you. It intertwines three stories where love goes hand in hand with inner experiences. The hero of one of the parts cannot trust their son's wife. A participant in another plot feels love only through the prism of the characters in his books, which destroys his family. The man of the third part of this small collection is a businessman who, after leaving for Italy, meets a charming woman. Each of the men in this film faces an obstacle that keeps them from a moment of true happiness. Read more The premiere of the film took place at the Toronto Film Festival in 2013. The plots of this film by Paul Haggis, known for his work "Collision" (2005), carries a certain theme. Thus, "Third Person" carries the heads of "Divorce", "Adultery" and "Death of a child", which can be applied to one or another really existing family drama. Played in one of the stories Liam Neeson and Olivia Wilde had already managed to work together once before. And this joint film was precisely the film "Three days on the run" (2010) by the same Paul Haggis. But James Franco and Mila Kunis, playing a married couple, met on the same set for the third time. In addition, they are friends outside of "work", so to speak. It is interesting that the name of the hero Franco was never uttered in the film. It was found only as an inscription on the intercom. In the early stages, one of the couples in the film was supposed to be performed by Naomi Watts and Jude Law, who then dropped out. Each of the family dramas shown in "Third Person" shows the viewer Rome, New York and Rome. However, the so-called Big Apple, unlike other cities in the frame, is not real. A studio in Rome acted as New York.
