Working at the CIA isn't as interesting as Susan Cooper once thought. While the cool agents of the highest rank risk their lives and take part in the loudest and most important cases, she sits in a skirt in the office. At the same time, the girl herself performs very important work, but no one notices it. But when things don't go well in the office, she starts working as an agent, equal to Bond himself! After all, everything is very bad - two previous agents have been defeated, and there is a risk of a crisis of a global scale. But working undercover in the case of buying/selling nuclear weapons is very difficult. But the leadership of the CIA has no choice but to rely on the fat Susan Cooper. Read more Among the first titles was the draft "Susan Cooper", in honor of the main character, whose role was played by Melissa McCarthy. For the director, "Spy" became the second joint work with this plump and pretty actress. At the same time, for Rose Byrne, the comedy became the second joint project, where Bobby Cannavale became her colleague on the set. Byrne and McCarthy have also starred together before. Having agreed to take on the role of a cool agent, Jason Statham played in a comedy for the third time. Studio 20th Century Fox announced the decision to launch the film in mid-June 2013. Paul Feig was already attached to the project as a director and began looking for actors to star in his Spy. The cast was replenished until the winter of 2014. Melissa McCarthy was one of the first to approve the contract. Statham signed on in February 2014, followed by Jude Law. The filming of the film was launched from March to the summer of 2014. Budapest, Hungary was chosen as the workplace for "Spygunka". Thanks to the special architecture, the artists created a structure of places that in the frame appeared to be places in Paris and Rome. In addition, the creative team filmed the world-famous Lake Balaton, which is located in the east of Hungary.
