The November Man
The November Man
Peter Devereaux earned the nickname November Man for a reason, because where he worked, nothing alive remained after him. Now that he's no longer working for the CIA, all he wants to do is relax in Switzerland, sipping drinks in his armchair. However, war never leaves such people in peace, and a brave agent is offered a task that only someone like him can do. The new case turned out to be really difficult, because those whom Peter trusted before are now turned against him. And besides, Devereaux's main opponent was his former student, whose abilities are almost at the same level. At stake is the exposure of the people behind the war in Chechnya, the truth of which the main character accidentally learned. Read more It was said in 2006 that Pierce Brosnan would star in "November Man". A year before, the actor had just stopped acting in the Bond film and was immediately offered this role. The offer to Brosnan came from Beau St. Claire who as a result acted as a producer. In 2007, the project stalled, but the actor tried to keep the rights. The project was revived in 2012, and the director was Roger Donaldson, with whom Brosnan had previously worked in the film "Dante's Peak" (1997) and whose candidacy he himself supported. Already in April 2013, the artist told journalists that the project had moved from a dead point. The plot itself is based on a literary source, the author of which is Bill Granger. Specifically, the script was written based on the book "There are no spies here", which occupies the seventh position in the "November Man" series. For the main female role, Pierce Brosnan chose Olga Kurylenko, who also managed to shine in "Quantum of Mercy", thus becoming a Bondian partner for the performer of November Man. At that time, the protagonist of Brosnan's hero was Dominic Cooper, who dropped out of the project by May 2013, having started filming in the racing film "The Lust for Speed". Despite the fact that in the book the place of action was Germany, the budget of the tape was not so big, so the filming took place in Belgrade and Montenegro.
