For the main female role, Pierce Brosnan chose Olga Kurylenko, who also managed to shine in "Quantum of Mercy", thus becoming a Bondian partner for the performer of November Man. At that time, the protagonist of Brosnan's hero was Dominic Cooper, who dropped out of the project by May 2013, having started filming in the racing film "The Lust for Speed". Despite the fact that in the book the place of action was Germany, the budget of the tape was not so big, so the filming took place in Belgrade and Montenegro.
