Therefore, the decision to shoot the second part was made very quickly. As a result of the small success of "Timeless. The Ruby Book", Felix Fuchssteiner remained in the director's chair of "Timeless: Sapphire". Already having the script in hand, the German studios, however, did not hurry with the production, solving this issue with the help of a kind of voting and ratings. Among the teenage audience, in particular the domestic devices of Germany, the expectation of the second film was quite high. It was only in September 2013 that it was officially announced that the sequel had finally gone into production. Filming "Timeless: Sapphire" in various historical castles or in buildings that can replace them, the creators took a little swipe at London. What in the film looks like the London of the past is actually the city of Aachen, which is located at the junction of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Work was carried out there from November 16 to December 1. Having collected the main actors and the director of the first part in the sequel, the creators again invited Philipp F. Kölmel to work on the soundtrack for "Timeless: Sapphire".
