The filming of "In the dark, dark forest" did not take much time, it lasted from September to December 2013. Then came finishing work and editing, most of which was occupied by computer effects. The musical was filmed on the territory of Great Britain, for example, in the counties of Surrey, Kent and Buckinghamshire. For the Walt Disney studio, this Broadway production was the first musical they adapted. Steven Sodheim, who wrote the script for this film, is also the author of one of the compositions that sounded in Tim Burton's musical "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street." One of the leading roles there was performed by Johnny Depp, who in this case plays a wolf.
