In the fantastic action movie "Hardcore" by Ilya Naishuller, the story is told from the first person. After a couple of minutes, a shootout begins, and the woman is kidnapped. Henry goes in search of her. The kidnapper is a powerful Akan with an army of mercenaries who wants to take over the whole world. The hero finds himself in Moscow, where everyone is trying to kill him. All except the British Jimmy, but it is not clear whether he can still be trusted. If Henry manages to survive this fight not for life, but for death, he will be able to learn the truth about his identity. Read more Before the release of "Hardcore", screenwriter and director Ilya Naishuller shot several music videos for his music group "Biting Elbows". The videos were made in the same style - first-person action. In an interview, the director said that Timur Bekmambetov gave him the idea to make such a film. As a result, he became one of the producers of the tape. For Naishuller, the picture was his debut in a full-length movie. The role of Jimmy went to Sharlto Copley, Akana to Daniil Kozlovsky. Haley Bennett played Henry's wife. In addition, Serhiy Shnurov, Konstantin Khabenskyi, Tim Roth, Yevhen Bazhenov, Leonid Parfyonov, Kyrylo Serebrennikov, Andriy Dementiev and others are also involved in "Hardcore". Naishuller's wife, actress Dasha Charusha, also got a role in the film. The main character in the film is played by several people, including stuntmen, parkourers and the director himself. During post-production, the creators turned to crowdfunding for financial help. The premiere of "Hardcore" took place at the International Film Festival in Toronto. The film became one of the most popular at the festival. For the foreign market, it was renamed "Hardcore Henry".
