New York, 1974. After many years spent in prison on charges of murder, 50-year-old Chris is released for exemplary behavior. His younger brother Frank, a promising police officer, is waiting for him at the prison door. The brothers are divided not only by the choice of "career", but also by their views on life and childhood rivalry... Frank hopes that Chris has changed and wants to give him a chance: he finds him a place to live, a job, helps him restore relations with his children and his ex-wife Monica.
