Keenan has already made his third film in his career, which does not deviate from the genres of mysticism or something else fantastic. The story of this tape is a reboot, but the events were decided to be transferred to our time. The performer of the main role, Rosemary DeWitt, was looking for ways to play in the new version of "Poltergeist" herself. The desire to become a participant in such a project arose after watching "The Spell" in the cinema. The actress was also impressed by the film in which her husband starred, but most of all by the reaction of the audience in the hall. But the role of Eric Bowen did not go to Sam Rockwell right away. Other candidates for this character included Richard Armitage and Tom Cruise. For Rowell, the role in such a film is not the first experience, so it is worth watching "Happy Hell Night" (1992) and "Joshua" (2007). The word "poltergeist" comes from the German language, where it means "spirit that makes noise." Filming of the mystical horror film began in September 2013. Then a group of filmmakers shot scenes in Toronto, and later moved to Hamilton (Ontario). The premiere of "Poltergeist" was supposed to take place at the beginning of winter, but was postponed several times.
