A Million Ways to Die in the West
A Million Ways to Die in the West
The Great Wild West, so romantically sung in all kinds of movies, is actually a dangerous place. Dovbeshka can be demolished at any moment, both by a bullet and a portion of strong whiskey. But did you know that many of these deaths are often quite silly and funny in reality? No? It's time! Albert, the main character of the film, is really not funny, because he is still a coward. This was the reason for his wife's departure to another city. But, courage is a profitable thing, the main thing is to find it in yourself. Helping Albert to become a brave stranger is the task of a gun-wielding stranger at a time. Perhaps the new teacher will help the hero to deal with a cruel bandit, in whose head it is stuck and he is going to take revenge right and left. More Passionate about directing, Seth MacFarlane not only directed "A Million Ways to Lose Your Head", but he also novelized the film, now including the first book in his resume. The idea of creating such a film came to the actor and screenwriter from a moment in his life when he and his co-screenwriters of the cartoon series "Griffins" watched "Hang Them Up" with Clint Eastwood. After joking a little about what was going on, MacFarlane, Sulkina and Wilde were eager to bring their ideas to film. Namely, to show how senseless, sometimes banal and unexpected death can be during cowboys and cool showdowns with revolvers. When working on the script, the guys, especially Seth, who is a fan of westerns, were inspired by specific films. Among them are "Train to Yuma" (1957), "Montana" (1950) and others. Unlike his full-length debut (Third extra/Ted), here the comedian himself played the main role. Playing his partner, Charlize Theron wore a wig during filming, as the actress had to shave her head for her role in the fourth part of "Mad Max". When Liam Neeson was invited to the role of the antagonist, he set the condition that he would play if his character spoke with a pronounced Irish accent. The film "A Million Ways to Lose Your Head" was filmed on the territory of New Mexico, where the team worked in May 2013.
