A murderous comedy based on the immortal classic by Mykola Gogol, namely the play "The Auditor". The main character is, of course, Ivan, also known as Vanka, a young guy working as a porter in the courtyard of a fairly decent institution. He hates his job, but he admires those he serves, what kind of life he dreams of. And everything comes! The catalyst was the appearance of a collector who is going to collect debts from Vanka, the number of which is far from small. Dilu should be helped by his father, a farmer, to whom the heroes go. And here the heroes get into an accident, after which such porridge is brewed. Serhiy Serhiyevich and Vanka are mistaken for the "same" inspectors who were allegedly sent to the mayor of a small town. Read more Timur Bekmambetov, who had previously worked on the launch of projects directed by Oleksandr Baranov, became the main producer of the film. The same play by Mykola Gogol was the basis of the script, the adaptation of which was worked on by the director himself. Not only the creator of "Watchmen", but also the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation took part in the creation of "Day of the Fool". In the frame, you can even see Volodymyr Markin, the official representative of the SC, playing himself. The creator of the tape Oleksandr Baranov was satisfied with Markin, claiming in one of the interviews that he showed himself well as an actor. Filming ended in January 2014, having begun around December 2013. Partly they took place in Moscow, and partly in Kasimov (Ryazan region). Work on "Fool's Day" proceeded in an accelerated mode, since it was winter outside, and the equipment froze. In addition, another reason was the short daylight hours. Parts from Chrysler 300C were ordered especially for one of the scenes in which one of the characters smashes his expensive cars with an ax. Such a technique deceived the viewer, who will see not a Chrysler, but a by no means cheap Rolls-Royce, worth more than half a million dollars.
