The history of the personality of the incredible Vlad III Tepes gave birth to many legends, the main one of which is now known by almost everyone. The film will tell the true story of Vlad Dracula (Dragon), an unsurpassed rider and warrior. The count did not get his reputation immediately, although this is partly due to his father. The general had to survive many wars, both for his lands and for the heart of his beloved, which led him to bloody massacres, which at the same time were aimed at the unification of the Romanian lands. It is for the latter, despite the scary tales, that the people of Romania show some respect for Count Dracula. Read more The film became one of those long-suffering projects, the start of which begins far from the final premiere, if there is such a place at all. The historical horror film "Dracula: Year Zero" was originally signed under this title and was supposed to be released in 2007. The directors included Alex Proyas ("Dark City", "I, Robot"), and the main role was to be played by Australian Sam Warrington. However, both demanded huge fees and the project was shelved for several years. In 2012, "Dracula: Year One" was talked about again, giving it a new name ("Dracula Untold") and Irish director Gary Shore. For the director, this was the first experience in directing a feature film, after his short horror film "Draft" (2006). The place of Sam Warrington, whose candidacy the Universal Pictures studio "kept" until the last, was almost immediately taken by Luke Evans. After Luke Evans, the cast of "Dracula: Year One" in March 2013 was joined by Dominic Cooper, Zach McGowan and the rest of the cast. The director's homeland - Northern Ireland - was chosen as the location for filming natural scenes. The film crew arrived there in August 2013.
