Read more Despite the fact that "On the Crest" is released with not such a big gap after another Australian film "Wave Breakers", the themes of these two films are quite different. "On the Crest" was made for only 11 million Australian dollars, which is a very small amount, considering the quality of the film, which received wide recognition among the general audience. All filming of the tape was carried out exclusively on the territory of Australia, they lasted for a year, starting from the end of 2011. Sam Warrington, playing so first-class, agreed to a rather small fee, referring to the fact that it would only be for the benefit of his homeland. The directors were Ben Knott and Morgan O'Neill, the cinematographers are not very unknown. Especially Ben Knott, for whom this is the first experience of such work. The story itself, despite its originality, may appeal to fans of the movie "Dogtown Kings". Both films are about the destinies of good guys who, having fallen into certain conditions, change. bend or vice versa. "On the crest" is very beautifully filmed, which was facilitated not only by the natural landscapes of Australia, but also by the masterful handling of the cameraman, as well as the artistic approach.
