The performances of Virginia Ether and Pierre Nigne, who played the characters in love, were especially well-received. The general premiere was scheduled for March 6 and took place simultaneously in Belgium and France, achieving such success in a few weeks that it even surpassed Quentin Tarantino's western "Django Unchained". For the Frenchman David Moreau, the film "The Big Difference" became the fourth film in a row and the first in the comedy/melodrama genre. Before that, he made good horror films "Them" (2006) and "The Eye" (2008), the latter of which starred Jessica Alba. Some scenes were shot in the Cité du cinéma, the so-called City of Cinema, specially built for the shooting of French films by Luc Besson himself. So many office scenes were filmed there. Balthazar's place of study was filmed on the territory of the Central School of Paris and on the campus. The main locations were the ordinary streets of Paris, where scenes with cars and scooters were also shot.
