Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb
The new adventures of museum guard Larry Daly are now not only in New York, but also in London! After the events of the second part, some exhibits began to behave differently, as if the life in them was disappearing. As it turned out, the reason is a gold plate from ancient Egypt, which is collapsing and its magic is running out. To save his unusual friends, Larry goes to London, because the mummy that can help is right there, at the natural history exhibition. Read more Unlike other films, although many probably wondered why there was a third part of "Night at the Museum" even before watching the trailer, "Secret of the Tomb" is the final part of the trilogy. The idea to release a triquel came to one of the screenwriters named Thomas Lennon. He caught fire with this project in January 2010, some time after the release of the sequel. Already in October 2011, B. Stiller himself officially stated that the film "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb" should be, even if it is still in the early stages of development. By the end of 2013, the film was given the green light, and it became known that the director would be the same Sean Levy. For Robin Williams, the comedy was one of the last five roles before he died. But for Mickey Rooney, his role as Noon was the last. So this film was dedicated to these two actors. And even before the release of "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb", the producers expected to promote a spin-off, the main characters of which were supposed to be the characters of Williams and Owen Wilson. But due to the tragic death of the first, the idea was postponed. Ben Stiller, in addition to his character Larry Daly, appeared in the film as the Neanderthal Laa. The triceratops skeleton was named after Trixie in some way after the dinosaur from the Toy Story 3 cartoon.
