The Ostroff and Walling families are friends and live next door on Orange Drive, right across the street. Traveller's daughter, Nina Ostroff, returns home for Thanksgiving after a five-year absence, having recently broken up with her fiance. Instead of taking an interest in her neighbors' successful son, Toby Walling, which would suit both families, she turns her attention to his father and her parents' best friend, David Walling. When the romantic relationship between Nina and David becomes impossible to ignore, the lives of both families fall into complete disarray.
