In the near future, a race of aliens called Mimics launches a merciless attack on Earth, forcing all Earth's military forces to unite in the face of a common enemy. Everyone, even the most inexperienced and unprepared, was forced to join the fray. One of them is Lt. Col. Bill Cage, who has never been on the battlefield, but was actually thrown there to certain death. A few minutes later, Cage is killed, but he manages to finish off one of the aliens. The impossible happens - he wakes up again in the morning of that terrible day. Direct physical contact with the alien's body at the moment of death closed the time loop, and Bill is forced to fight the same battle again and again and die again. Fighting side-by-side with special forces fighter Rita Vratsky, who has destroyed more Mimics than anyone else on Earth, Cage gains experience and skill in combat, and with each return he becomes fiercer and smarter in the battle against alien creatures. Time after time, Rita and Cage fight the aliens, and each subsequent battle brings them closer to the solution of how to kill the alien invaders and save the planet. More information From time to time turning to the Eastern culture of manga and anime, American studios did not ignore Hiroshi Sakurazaki's fantastic novel "All you need is to kill". After the rights were bought in 2009, the studio Warner Bros. in 2012 launched an action movie into production. At first, the film was called Sakurazaki's original creation, but later the title began to sound like "On the Edge of the Future". The director, after the final version of the adapted script, was chosen in August 2013, and he became Doug Lyman. England was chosen as the location for filming, plus based on the plot specification. In some cases, artistic means were used, which were created for the film series about the wizard "Harry Potter" before "On the Edge of the Future". At the same time, costumes were designed and created for the film, in which actresses Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise had to "run" for about 5 months. When the British woman was first fitted with a metal exoskeleton, she almost didn't cry at first, it was so heavy. The actual weight of the combat suit was about 85 pounds. Brad Pitt was initially assigned the role that went to Cruise. And Tom Cruise, which he did not announce until the end of filming, spent a rather large sum of $100,000 on some production moments.
