The Golden Compass

Screen adaptation of F. Pullman's novel of the same name, the first part of the "Dark Beginnings" trilogy. The film tells the story of a little girl, Lyra Belacqua, who studies at Oxford, but lives in a parallel world. She goes on a journey that turns from an unusual children's trip into a dangerous journey on a global scale. She is destined not only to overcome great evil, but also to try to find the source of dark plans.
