Danny Archer is an experienced smuggler who smuggles diamonds from Sierra Leone to Europe. However, one day he is unlucky and ends up behind bars. In prison, he meets a black fisherman, Solomon Wendy, who told him that he had hidden a large pink diamond on the loose.
