V for Vendetta

The action of the film unfolds in totalitarian Britain against the background of futuristic landscapes. Natalie Portman stars as a young woman named Evie who is rescued from mortal danger by a mysterious stranger known as "V". Incredibly charismatic and masterful in the art of struggle and fraud, V incites a revolution by orchestrating the bombings of two London landmarks and seizing two government-controlled radio frequencies, thereby inciting his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression. As Evie learns the truth about the mysterious person V, she discovers a lot of unknowns in herself, and as a result, turns out to be his unexpected ally in the fight for freedom and justice in a society mired in corruption and cruelty.
