Massoud Amir Berani, an Iranian immigrant, invested most of his savings in making his daughter's marriage as successful as possible. After her marriage, with the remaining funds, he bought a house at an auction, becoming an involuntary participant in the conflict with its former owner. What started as a fair auction turned into a personal confrontation with a tragic outcome.
