2019 year. Los Angeles. The USA is ruled by a totalitarian regime. Television entered a new era with the show "The Running Man", in which enemies of the people and criminal criminals become victims of the show's heroes (stalkers), giant super-athletes who hunt them in the areas of Los Angeles destroyed by the 1996 earthquake.
