Exactly one year has passed since the plane crash described in the first film. Only one passenger remained alive - Claire Rivers, who won the first round in death, now she is hiding from death in a mental hospital. And now, a year after the disaster with flight 180, Kimberly Corman and her friends go on a weekend, their path lies along route #23. On the way, Kimberly has a vision that she, her friends and several other people will die on this highway in a terrible accident, she sees her death, and a second later she is alive again and sitting behind the wheel of her car.
