Such a leap occurs precisely in our days, or rather a century, after which a whole population of so-called "x-people", mutants, each of whom is endowed with some abilities, appears. The main character Wolverine, for example, is endowed with an amazing ability to regenerate, which he will demonstrate throughout the film, Professor X is able to interfere with people's thoughts and take over their bodies, is there also Cyclops - who shoots fire from his eye, Storm, who controls the weather, and so on? The picture begins with a retrospective of 1944. A Jewish boy in occupied Poland, with a power hidden within him, easily bends the leaves of a gate, prone to emotional outbursts when his father is taken away by the Nazis. At the same time, the jury creaks and breaks while he pulls out his children's pen, and the stunned fascists look at what he has done in amazement. Then the action is transferred to the present day, the near future, and it turns out that after many years he emigrated to the States and became a villain - Magneto? He was given the ability to control magnetic fields and subdue metal. He believes that it is necessary to turn all humanity into mutants with the help of an electromagnetic device created by him, and then everything in this world will come into balance and harmony. However, he is wrong. People affected by Magneto only mutate in the first stage, and then their cells are destroyed and they turn into liquid.
