An old man named Frank lives alone. Every day he goes to the local library, because he is not indifferent to the librarian. His adult children, concerned about their father's well-being, buy him a robot assistant. At first, Frank accepts the robot at bay, but then appreciates the advantages of robotic care - nutritious meals and cleanliness in the house - and gradually begins to treat the robot as a faithful companion. And thanks to the work, Frank again feels a craving for his ancient and illegal craft.
